Delivering Your Piece

We offer free local delivery within 30 miles on all custom and signature pieces. Delivery up to 100 miles may be arranged for a small fee. For those individuals living outside the 100 mile radius, freight shipping is available, however, we are not responsible for any damages incurred when using freight shipping handlers. Smaller items available through our online store may be shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

We uses many different shipping companies, depending on need and destination. If delivery is required, Ballash Woodworks is not responsible for any loss, damage or delay which may occur after delivering product to the Delivery Point. Title passes when product is delivered to the Delivery Point. Customer shall inspect the product upon receipt and any claims for shortages or other errors must be noted at the time of Delivery on Ballash Woodworks documents and supported by signed documentation. Claims for shortages or other errors must be made in writing to Ballash Woodworks within 10 days of receipt. Failure to give such notice shall constitute unqualified acceptance and a waiver of all such claims by Customer. No products may be returned to Ballash Woodworks for any reason without prior written authorization.

Acceptance

Customer shall have the opportunity to inspect the finished piece prior to delivery, or at the time of pick-up. Once your piece is near-finished, Customer is encouraged to make a scheduled shop visit to approve the work prior to final payment. Ballash Woodworks will also send photos that can be used to approve your piece in lieu of an on site visit. Customer acknowledges and hereby agrees that, once Customer or its agent has had the opportunity to inspect the furniture and takes possession of same, the furniture is thereby delivered and sold to Customer as accepted. Seller takes no responsibility for normal wear and tear or any non-production or non-design-related damages that may occur after delivery.

Natural Wood / Reclaimed Wood Product Disclaimer

We make every effort to ensure the longevity of our work, including kiln drying, adding supports, joints, sealing and finishing the materials. Regardless of these attempts, solid wood materials may still have some movement that can cause slight shifting, cracks, and warping. Ballash Woodworks can make no guarantee against such natural occurrences. If there are such undesired occurrences, we can service the piece/s at a discounted rate. Reclaimed wood is a natural product and may contain inherent aged characteristics including but not limited to the following: checking, natural color variation, nail holes, mortise holes, mineral staining, wane, tapering, etc. Dimensions of reclaimed wood are not as exact as in newly milled lumber and may have natural variance in any dimension. If any sample was shown Customer, that sample was used merely to illustrate the general type and quality of the products and not to represent that the products would necessarily conform to the sample.

Returns & Exchanges

If you are unsatisfied with one of our signature items or an internet purchase, return it free of damage within 30 days and we will issue a refund upon receipt of your item. We do not issue standard refunds on custom pieces. However, situations change, and if your find your custom piece no longer works for your space, contact us about potentially buying back your piece.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

For damaged furniture pieces, we do a full inspection prior to delivery/pickup and request you do a thorough inspection of damage, faultiness, and integrity. Once we leave your home and you have approved the quality of your custom piece, we are no longer responsible for damage caused after. Please, see above for our policy on returns and exchanges.
